About the Alumni Association

Our purpose

To work with administration and class representatives to foster loyalty and school spirit based on Kingswood's history and traditions, and to support educational goals.

Activities

• Maintain a database of alumni, staff, and friends and identify contact person(s) for each class.
• Assist in organizing class reunions, including combined reunions of adjoining classes.
• Recognize significant achievements of alumni and staff.
• Provide Scholarships for Kingswood graduates.
• Assist in preserving items of historic significance.
• Assist in organizing activities which support Kingswood's educational objective.

Board Meetings

We usually meet on the first Monday of each month, at 6:30 pm in the Kingswood library. Check the Home page of this website for the date and time of our next meeting, or contact us and request that information, we'd be happy to let you know.

Committees

The success of the KRHS Alumni Association will be dependent upon many hands!

Please consider making a commitment to chair, or join, one of the following committees: (Please Note: the number of committees, and their responsibilities, is a work in progress and will be decided by the official board of directors when established)

Public Relations

This committee will be responsible for news releases, advertising, mailings, & promoting events (in conjunction with the needs and assistance of other committees).

Fund Raising

This committee will work with the treasurer to ensure that funds will be available for Board, Event, Scholarship, & PR expenses

Nominating

This committee will be responsible for the nomination of new board members and officers.

Events

This committee will work together to develop events such as (but not limited to) Annual Combined Reunions (during Homecoming?), the Annual Board Meetings, and assist with individual class reunions.

Scholarship

This committee will assist the Fund Raising Committee to establish and distribute the KRHS Alumni Association Scholarship.

Website/Database

This committee will oversee Website and Database maintenance and access.

Fact Finders

This commitee will research and collect fun facts about Kingswood and its graduates for the website (ie:# of years KRHS field hockey won title, famous alumni...)
